The story behind Roaming Pack

Roaming Pack Photography began with one simple goal — to document the adventures & cutest moments of my own pack, exactly as they unfold.

About

Every photo is proof they were here with me. Proof of what we built together.

WHY I STARTED

I've lost dogs and other little family members before, and every time I regretted not having enough good photos to hold onto. I started documenting my bearded dragons, Dino and Zero, in 2019 so I wouldn't repeat that regret.

They both passed away early and unexpectedly, but those photos gave me real comfort — proof they'd had a great life. They were probably the most traveled bearded dragons in the U.S., and inspired plenty of people to start taking their own dragons on nature adventures.

That's what pulled me into this work: helping people keep real memories with their non-human family members. A quick photo rarely does justice to how cute they actually are, or how beautiful this country is once you get off the pavement — I want to help capture both.

IN MEMORY OF ZERO & DINO

By far the best sunset we saw together — an evening I'll hold onto forever.

This is what behind the camera actually looks like.

BEHIND THE CAMERA

They're a big part of why I do any of this. I want Uni, Toro, and Elmo to get the most out of their lives with me — sun, smells, the outdoors, all of it. I spend 99% of my time with them, and they follow me everywhere.

Based in Pleasant Grove, Utah, and traveling across the American West for sessions — chasing fall color through mountain canyons, slot canyons and reflection pools through the desert, wherever the trail leads. Whenever I go, the pack comes too.

Make people, and animals, happy — and give them memories worth reminiscing over forever. That's my whole philosophy.

PHILOSOPHY

I want to capture every little moment, even the imperfect ones — funny faces, silly antics, curiosity, the occasional grumpy look, even that unimpressed yet cute stare while they're mid-business outside. Those are the moments that turn into memories worth reminiscing over for the rest of your life — proof of how much joy and how many smiles they brought.
